Onlive becomes free, sort of.

It would seem that "Onlive" has ditched its monthly fee today, making the service (almost) entirely free! Sure, you still need to purchase the games through the service, and deal with an unhealthy amount of lag...but you get free demos and you can even watch people play games via spectator mode. Worth a try, right?

Sure! I mean, after all, the best things in life are free!

Oh, what's that OnLive? You won't allow users who have internet speed of less than 5 megs use your service? Wifi users, either?
Guess i won't be testing this service afterall.

  1. ya... lol. I got into it early since I signed up before. Really not even a very good service. You're better off spending the money on a decent video card!

  3. Are there any benefits of using onlive? Is it just another media to buy and play games off?

  4. I'd have so grown up to be a gamer if the gaming industry hadn't gone to this style of business model. I guess they just left me behind :(

  5. I heard about this a while ago to. It sucks to hear how bad it's doing. It looked really promising. Maybe until better infrastructure in the communications industry would change that.
